2025 Commitment Campaign

At Trinity, we are compelled to love, to give, and to make a difference.

Make your 2025 commitment today!

From October 6 to November 3, Trinity is running our annual commitment campaign so that we can sustain and grow our ministries in the coming year.

What will my commitment support?

Your commitment will support Trinity's mission and ministries. It's through your commitments to love, to give, and to make a difference that Trinity becomes a joyful community, daring to live out God's inclusive vision of justice, love, and reconciliation in Kansas City.

Sunday Mornings

Your commitment will support our weekly worship service, our livestream team, our choir and guest musicians, in addition to our Adult Sunday School Class and Young Adult Coffee gathering.

Care & Hospitality

Your commitment will support our ministries of Care and Hospitality, allowing our teams to show God's love by caring for community members in times of need and welcome newcomers.

Justice & Service

Your commitment will support our ministries of Justice and Service, allowing our teams to support local justice initiatives and serve our neighbors in need through the Gilmore Meal and Pantry, the Lord's Table, and the Baby Grace Diaper Ministry.

Fellowship & Outreach

Your commitment will allow us to nurture relationships with one another through fellowship events like Tamales and Trivia and Pawn and Pizza, and you will also allow us to reach out to our neighbors through summer block partys, fall festivals, and participants in local events like AIDs Walk KC and Pride Fest.

New Ministries

Trinity is growing! Your commitment will allow us to nurture the gifts of our community members who have visions of a new way of loving God and neighbor. What's next for Trinity? A children's ministry? A recovery ministry? Your commitment will allow new ministry ideas to launch.

Our Staff & Facilities

Your commitment will also allow us to support our staff as they grow in their roles and do the work of building God's kingdom through Trinity. Your commitment will also support our historic facilities that not only house our many ministries but also serve as a community hub for local meetings.

How does Trinity sustain its ministries?

Your Commitments

At the end of each year, members and participants reflect on their commitment to Trinity and make a discerned financial commitment to Trinity's future. We need $150,000 in commitments in order to sustain and grow Trinity's ministries next year.

Plate Offering

Plate offering comes from visitors and newcomers who make a donation when they visit, but they haven't made a commitment to give over the course of the year. Annually, Trinity receives about $70,0000 in plate offering.

Rental Income

Trinity is fortunate to be able to rent out space in the building. Our beautiful building is utilized and open to the community, and local nonprofits can afford the space they need. Annually, Trinity receives just under $40,000 in rental income.

FAQs

What if I can't give very much money?

It's not the size of the commitment but the act of committing that matters. Want to make a $1/month commitment? Those $12 in 2025 will help sustain the mission and ministries of Trinity and allow us to serve God and neighbor.

What if I can't give any money?
Trinity also sustains our ministries through your service. In addition to making a financial commitment, there is an option on the commitment card for you to commit to serve on a ministry team.

What if I don't fulfill my commitment?
Life happens. No one will hound you or judge you if you don't fulfill your commitment! What we ask is that you make your most discerned estimate now of the level of giving you will be able to sustain in 2025, and if something unexpected happens, we get it. Everyone who donates to Trinity receives a quarterly giving statement for tax purposes. This will allow you to see how much of your commitment you have fulfilled to date four times a year, but beyond this, you won't receive additional notifications to fulfill your commitment.
