Patrick Munsell is a church musician, artist and designer with a main focus on the Arts in a
church setting. Combining music and visual graphics into worship began over 35 years ago with
the staging of a Christmas production by the small church choir he directed. This led to his
lifelong passion of bringing singers and players from disparate choirs into larger community
choruses. In Kansas City, he directed The Glad Tidings Community Chorus for nearly 20 years.
But, creative worship was his first passion. As new technologies and worship styles began to
emerge he applied music with visual technology in a blend meant to honor tradition as well as
create new ways of expression in worship. Patrick’s love of hymns along with Gospel and more
modern musical forms has found a welcome home in helping churches blend or transition from
traditional to modern worship, and (sometimes) back again. Following 11 years as Worship
Director at Trinity UMC in KCK, (pre Covid) he now joins the leadership team here at Trinity,
KCMO as Director of Worship and Arts.
