Justice Ministry

Trinity’s Justice Ministry is an action-oriented ministry working to bring about the Kingdom of God in Kansas City.
Current Focus: The Housing Crisis
Trinity is located in one of the fastest gentrifying neighborhoods in Kansas City. Between 2010-2019, the Black population on Armour from Main to Campbell dropped by more than 20%. We are deeply concerned that our Black neighbors are being pushed out of our neighborhood.
Our Values:
- We believe the Kingdom of God is rest, healing, restoration, relationship, love, freedom, and enough for all.
- We believe it is our collective responsibility to take action in partnership with God and one another, and that doing so offers boundless possibility for the transformation of our city.
- We believe that action requires self-sacrificing love, an acknowledgement of privilege, and a willingness to follow the leadership of those members of our society who are most impacted by systems of oppression.
- We believe that action for justice means resolving systemic needs through collective action. We also value meeting people’s immediate needs through community service and charity, which is why many of our ministry leaders also participate in Trinity’s Mercy Ministries.
