Blue Christmas

Blue Christmas

A Service of Hope & Healing

On Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 6pm in the sanctuary, we will hold our Blue Christmas service, a service of hope and healing.

Some of us have lost loved ones, and we experience renewed grief waves during the holiday season, and for others of us, it can just be a heavy time, whether for mental health reasons, due to financial worries that come along with the expectation of gift-giving, or for whatever reason that we’re just not feeling the “Christmas spirit.” This is a service to remind all of us that the Christmas experience isn’t one note, and we can still come together as a community even when we don’t feel very “Advent-y.”

Starting this Sunday, Nov. 27, we’re inviting our Trinity community members to bring ornaments to decorate Trinity’s lovely Christmas tree in the sanctuary. Bring an ornament that feels special to you, whether it reminds you of a loved one you’ve lost or honors your experience or that of others this holiday season.
